Reporting System
Every user plays a role in keeping BeAnon safe. You can report profiles, chats, messages, or media from within the app.
- Tap and hold a message, or use the report option on a profile or chat, to submit a report
- Reports may include relevant context and technical data to help us investigate
- Reports are sent to our moderation team for review
- You do not need to reveal your identity to submit a report, and reports are treated confidentially
Enforcement Actions
When a violation is confirmed, we take action proportional to the severity of the offense:
Offending messages or media are taken down immediately upon confirmation.
The user's access is suspended for a set period based on the violation.
Repeat or severe violations result in permanent removal from the platform.
Depending on the violation, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Warning
- Content removal
- Feature restriction
- Ending a chat
- Temporary or permanent ban
- Device or account blocking
- Preservation of reports and enforcement records
- Escalation to law enforcement where required
Moderation Approach
We use a combination of automated signals and human review to identify and act on policy violations.
- Automated signals — we may use automated tools and signals to detect spam, abuse, fraud, safety risks, and policy violations
- Human review — human review may happen for reported, flagged, escalated, safety-sensitive, enforcement, or legal matters
- Moderation evidence — reported or flagged content may be preserved, and enforcement records may be kept
Response Time
Law Enforcement
Serious harm, CSAM, sexual exploitation, threats, terrorism, fraud, or other unlawful conduct may be escalated, preserved, and disclosed where required by valid legal process or otherwise permitted under applicable law. We may cooperate with authorities and preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary.
