Data Deletion Policy
How to delete your BeAnon account and data — and the limits that apply.
BeAnon is operated by RR AI Labs Pvt. Ltd. This page explains how deletion works and what may be retained for legal, safety, and operational reasons.
When you first open BeAnon, we create an anonymous account for you automatically — no name, no email, no phone number. Your account is tied to your device's unique Mobile ID, which lets you stay logged in without ever revealing who you actually are.
Your anonymous Mobile ID, app preferences, and cached chats — all local to your phone.
Your account ID, friend connections, chat data, and your Google recovery link if you set one up.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or data.
That's on purpose — if you reinstall on the same device, everything comes back exactly how you left it. Your chats, friends, and history are all still there. Uninstalling and deleting are two very different things.
When you delete your account from inside the app, we begin removing or anonymising the data linked to your account, where this is technically and legally possible:
Chat Data Removed
Messages and media linked to your account, where deletion is technically and legally possible. See the limits below.
Friend Connections Removed
Your friend connections and chat state linked to your account.
Account & Profile Data Removed
Your anonymous account ID, profile, preferences, moods, and interests.
Google Recovery Link & Push Tokens Removed
Your optional Google recovery link and push notification tokens, and support data where possible.
Usage Data Anonymised
Some usage data may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form to help us improve the app.
Deletion is not always immediate or absolute. Some data may be retained where reasonably necessary, subject to legal, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, backup, tax/accounting, security, or compliance needs:
- Reported content and enforcement records may be retained for safety or legal reasons.
- Deletion may not remove messages from another user's account where these are needed to preserve their conversation record, safety evidence, moderation evidence, or for legal compliance — unless the product design supports full deletion.
- Some data may be retained where required by law or for fraud prevention, disputes, security, or accounting.
- Backups may take additional time to rotate and expire.
The simplest way to delete your account is from inside the app. If you can't access the app, you can email support@beanon.app — include enough information to help us verify ownership of your account or device. Because BeAnon accounts are anonymous and device-based, we may not be able to locate or verify an account without sufficient device or account identifiers.
Open the BeAnon app
Make sure you're on the phone that's linked to the account you want to delete.
Go to Settings
Open the Settings section of the app.
Tap "Delete Account"
Scroll down until you see the Delete Account option.
Confirm the deletion
Read the warning carefully and confirm. Once confirmed, deletion begins and cannot be undone, subject to the limits described above.
Lost your phone? Whether you can still delete your account depends on one thing — did you link a Google account before it happened?
You're covered — just install BeAnon on a new phone, sign in with Google, and then head to Settings → Delete Account.
Recovery and remote deletion may not be possible. Because BeAnon accounts are anonymous and device-based, we may be unable to verify ownership without sufficient device or account identifiers. You can still contact support@beanon.app with as much detail as possible.
